About Us

Mountain Institute gets Yavapai County high school students started on the path to a variety of exciting careers with training, college credit and multiple certification options.

Mountain Institute, a Career Technical Education District (CTED), does this by offering enhanced Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses that students take while concurrently attending high school. It’s not just for public school students either; we encourage charter school and home school students to get their careers started by enrolling in CTED programs.

Spotlight on Students!

Mia is on FIRE! She has now taken TWO Mountain Institute programs. The Certified Nursing Assistant Program last year – and now the Fire Science Program! With the certifications she earned in both programs, Mia has lots of options!

MICTED Students Show What They Can Do at SkillsUSA State Competition!

Four Students from Mountain Institute's Welding Program attended the SkillsUSA State Competition last week. Nathaniel took 2nd Place, and Lucien was awarded 1st and will travel to Atlanta to compete in Nationals! We are proud of the skill and commitment that all four of these students demonstrated and can't wait to see what they do next!

New Governing Board Member to Represent Seligman

Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter is pleased to announce the appointment of Eugenia “Edee” Spain, to the Mountain Institute Career and Technical Education School District Governing Board, representing the Seligman Unified School District.

Veterinary Assisting visits Yavapai County Humane Society

On Monday, November 20th the Vet Assisting students from Mountain Institute CTED visited the Yavapai County Humane Society. Students got some real life exposure to the animal welfare sector by spending time with the behavior, clinic, and operation teams.
