Mountain Institute Student Application/Registration Form 2025/2026

Fall Enrollment Opens March 26, 2025

The following application is just one of the steps in the process to apply for a Mountain Institute Program.  BEFORE filling out this application you will have to fill out the Yavapai College new student application (returning students can skip this step).  Make sure you write down your Y number and Login Name and Password.  You will need your Y number to fill out this application.

Once this application is completed, you will need to complete the two remaining steps of the enrollment process. This is VERY important!!

  1. Contact your High School Counselor and let them know you applied for a Mountain Institute Program so your counselor can approve you to attend the program and ensure that it works with your schedule!
  2. All NEW Students are required to attend an Orientation as part of the application process. If you do not attend you will lose your seat to another student who has if the program you registered for produces a wait list. You will receive a copy of the Orientation schedule in your email once you submit this form.  Please look over the dates and mark your calendars!  If you are a Continuation Student or are applying for your second year in a program you do not need to attend an orientation.

CTED PROGRAM REGISTRATION FAQS

Q: Can I take more than one program at a time?
A: MICTED is accepting only one Program enrollment at a time.

Q: What does the program cost?
A: Tuition costs are paid for by Mountain Institute CTED when your application has been approved.  There may be invoiced tuition fees if a student is placed on attendance contracts or behavior contracts and those contracts are broken. The exception to this is our ESA students.  Mountain Institute CTED welcomes all ESA students and is an approved ESA Vendor.  But, because we are publicly funded and the State of Arizona has already provided public funding directly to you through your Empowerment Scholarship Account we must bill you for your student's participation in our programs.  If you are an ESA student or parent we encourage you to contact us at (928)771-0791 and press 4 to speak with Amanda Loerke.  She will be able to answer any ESA specific questions that you may have.

Q: Is the orientation process mandatory?
A: YES, if you are a NEW MICTED Student, attendance at an orientation is part of the application process and must be completed. Orientation highlights how to be a successful student with Mountain Institute CTED and Yavapai College. If you are a Continuation Student or are applying for the second year of a program you do not need to attend an orientation.

Q: How do I know if I've been accepted?
A: You will have completed the Enrollment process once you have completed the following steps:

  1. Registered as a student with Yavapai College
  2. Filled out and submitted an MICTED Application form
  3. Met with your High School Counselor to get your schedule approved
  4. Attended an orientation (for NEW students only)

You will then receive an email stating that you were accepted into the program or placed on a waiting list.

Q. Are there prerequisites?
A: While many programs have unique prerequisites, all students entering a CTED program must have at least average attendance and a limited history of disciplinary issues to be considered. Visit our website at MICTED.NET and click on the programs tab to find the program you're interested in for specific requirements.

Q: Will I receive college credit through CTED?
A: All programs offer high school credit and many of our programs offer college credit or dual enrollment through Yavavpai College. Visit our website for more detailed information.

Q: Can I attend if I'm homeschooled?
A: Yes, MICTED's accredited programs are available as a adjunct to the homeschool curriculum.

Q: How can I get additional info?
A: Contact Mountain Institute CTED at 928.771.0791 or visit MICTED.NET
