Gabriel, a homeschooled Senior is one of our standout Automotive Repair students, he is also our SkillsUSA Chapter President. He will complete our two-year program this spring. He will graduate with multiple ASE Industry certifications and Yavapai College’s MLR (Maintenance and Light Repair) certification, making him well-prepared to continue his education in college or jump-start a career in the automotive industry sooner than most graduates!
While Gabriel is passionate about auto repair, he's also considering enlisting in the military after his time at Mountain Institute CTED. The skills he’s gained have already paid off—he’s proud to be able to confidently change and repair his truck’s brakes and tackle vehicle repairs on his own.
Gabriel believes that even with the rise of electric vehicles, there will always be demand for skilled mechanics who know their way around traditional gas-powered engines. His commitment to learning and his positive attitude are a great reflection of his character. He’s consistently present, highly dedicated, and, above all, incredibly humble. When asked about his achievements, he said modestly, “I’m not sure why I was chosen.” We certainly know why!
Gabriel, you’re doing amazing—keep up the great work!
