AVIATION TECHNOLOGY
PROGRAM SUMMARY
In this program you will be exposed to the current capabilities, applications and regulations for different types of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Drones). You will learn to safely fly a drone using approved practices and be able to use critical analysis to select the appropriate aircraft for a given mission. You will also learn Air Traffic Control (ATC) rules and regulations, control tower procedures and communication procedures and terminology.

INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS
- Progress toward Yavapai College's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Certificate
- UAS Operator License (Student must be 16 years old to take the exam)
CREDITS
Up to 7.5 High School credits over two years, up to 30 Yavapai College credits over two years
