DENTAL ASSISTING
PROGRAM SUMMARY
The Dental Assistant Program provides students with the foundational skills and knowledge needed to support dentists in delivering high-quality patient care. This program offers hands-on training where students learn to assist Dentists by preparing treatment rooms, assisting in dental procedures, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining patient records. Dental Assistants and can work in dental offices, clinics, and other healthcare environments.

CREDITS
Up to 4 High School credits over one year, up to 2.5 Yavapai College credits over one year.

Program Information

Class Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday 1:15 – 3:45pm
- Will require a minimum of one Friday a month during normal class time.
- Requires 120 hours of clinicals during the second semester.
Grade Level Requirement:
Junior – Senior
Must be 16 years old prior to March 1st, before the start of the clinical portion of the program.
Pre Req Info:
- Accuplacer Reading Test
- Accuplacer Math Test
- CastelBranch account where student will be required to upload Proof of Citizenship and Immunizations required by the clinical agency.
