VET ASSISTING PROGRAM
PROGRAM SUMMARY
This is a one-year program that prepares students for entry level positions in Veterinary clinics, grooming facilities, boarding facilities and many more. Students develop skills in patient care, clinical procedures and animal behavior management. This training prepares them to safely care for domestic, exotic and large animals i.e. cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, horses and livestock.
In addition to the core curriculum, students develop skills that will prepare them for the job seeking process through externships, resume building workshops and work ethic training. The successful completion of this program requires students to complete 120 clinical hours in a professional animal care setting.
