ACCOUNTING
PROGRAM SUMMARY
The Accounting program will prepare students for entry-level positions in a variety of business and office settings where knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting practices is required. Student will learn how to perform financial accounting functions using proper format and procedure based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the International Financial and Reporting Standards (IFRS). They will also be able to prepare and interpret financial statements, prepare basic tax returns and use current technology to input, manage and communicate financial information.

- Yavapai College’s Advanced Bookkeeping Certificate
CREDITS
- Yavapai College credits are earned after completing the semester with a passing grade (C or better).
- HS credits will be awarded at the end of each semester
- Up to 5.25 High School credits, and up to 21 YC credits may be earned upon successful completion of the two year program.
