Biography
Heather Andrews has devoted her life to animals. Starting her career in a vocational program, much like
the program she is teaching now, Heather has excelled in her profession.

She earned her advanced title of RVT, (Registered Veterinary Technician), entering the first RVT program
in San Diego. Heather later went back to teach at this program.
In the Veterinary community, Heather has owned and managed some of the largest hospitals in San
Diego. She worked for the San Diego Zoological Society as a veterinary technician. In 1995 she was
voted Technician of the Year, for the state of California.
She went back to teaching in a community college and was Clinical Director for the Veterinary Program.
Her job was to place students in externships and help with job placement.
Heather and her husband moved to Prescott and she was able to start the Veterinary Assistant Program
at Mountain Institute. She is now a RVT and CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) in Arizona.
