Student Spotlight: Peter

Over the past year, Peter has gained hands-on experience and valuable knowledge in construction, particularly in framing. He's also deeply inspired by his dad, who recently became a plumber—another high-demand trade!

Peter’s advice to future students?
Take it step by step. Whether it’s an assignment or a project, tackling small chunks daily instead of cramming will make your workload more manageable and less stressful.

He lives by the powerful words of Martin Luther King Jr.:
"If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward."

Peter’s favorite accomplishments so far include mastering the art of patching drywall and getting comfortable with his go-to tool—the wire stripper! He’s excited to pass his certifications through Yavapai College and officially kick-start his career in construction.

Way to go, Peter! Your hard work and perseverance are paving the way for a bright future!
